RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
Authorize the Auditor-Controller to incorporate approved appropriation and estimated revenue modifications of $100,000 to the FY 2012-13 Budget for Health Department Public Guardian HEA008 (4/5th vote required).
SUMMARY:
The Health Department requests that the Board authorize the Auditor-Controller to incorporate approved appropriation and estimated revenue modifications of $100,000 to the FY 2012-13 Budget for Health Department Public Guardian HEA008. There is no modification needed for the FY 2013-14 Budget as adequate appropriations and revenue were included in the Recommended Budget
DISCUSSION:
This amendment will provide adequate appropriations to cover increased costs and revenue associated with unanticipated County Counsel charges for the Public Administrator Bureau in FY 2012-13. Due to an accounting change requested by the Auditor Controller's office in March, 2013, the department is requesting an increase in appropriations and a corresponding increase in revenue. This increase will not impact the department's budgeted FY 2012-13 General Fund Contribution.

This item was presented and approved at the April 24, 2013 Budget Committee meeting.
FINANCING:
The increased estimated revenue and appropriation will not impact the Health Department Public Guardian HEA008 General Fund Contribution.
