Approve and authorize the Director of Health Services or designee to execute Amendment No. 4 to Mental Health Services Agreement A-15506 between The County of Monterey and Partners for Peace for the provision of new and additional prevention and early intervention outreach and engagement services, retroactive to January 1, 2024, which adds $358,195 in FY 2023-2024 and $357,678 in FY 2024-25, for a new total Agreement amount not to exceed $1,603,871 for a term of July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2025.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
Approve and authorize the Director of Health Services or designee to execute Amendment No. 4 to Mental Health Services Agreement A-15506 between The County of Monterey and Partners for Peace for the provision of new and additional prevention and early intervention outreach and engagement services, retroactive to January 1, 2024, which adds $358,195 in FY 2023-2024 and $357,678 in FY 2024-25, for a new total Agreement amount not to exceed $1,603,871 for a term of July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2025.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION
As part of the County of Monterey Health Department, Behavioral Health Bureau's Access and Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) outreach, engagement and mental health programs the County currently has Agreement A-15506 with Partners for Peace to meet goals and objectives outlined in the County's MHSA Plan. Since MHSA revenues are higher than budgeted and this agency has the capacity to increase services delivered to the community, approval for amending Agreement to increase budget amount for Program 2: Interconnected Systems Framework is being sought.
Additionally, On May 25, 2023, the County of Monterey Behavioral Health Bureau received approval from the Mental Health Services Oversight and Accountability Commission (MHSOAC) for the "Rainbow Connections" MHSA Innovation Program.
