RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the County of Monterey Board of Supervisors:
Approve and authorize the Director of Health Services or designee to execute a Renewal and Amendment No. 1 to Mental Health Services Agreement A-15923 with Centro Binacional para el Desarrollo Indigena Oaxaque?o (CBDIO), retroactive to July 1, 2023, to add community event services for the same total Agreement amount not to exceed $500,000, and same term of July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2024.

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION
Centro Binacional para el Desarrollo Indigena Oaxaque?o (CBDIO) is a community-based agency that provides Maternal Mental Health Prevention and Early Intervention program services to prevent Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorder (PMAD) from developing, and if present, provide effective treatment. CBIDO specifically targets the Indigenous community in Greenfield and King City who are at higher risk for PMAD. CBDIO programs focus on working with Indigenous families providing orientations, trainings, counseling, and referrals that are culturally relevant.

The Renewal and Amendment No. 1 adds community events supporting Maternal Mental Health Prevention and Early Intervention to FY 2023-2024 and replaces Exhibit F: Business Associate Agreement with the January 2024 Board approved Business Associate Agreement version. This Renewal and Amendment No. 1 is retroactive to July 1, 2023, due to delay in receiving the cyber liability as required by Exhibit F: Business Associate Agreement.
