It is recommended the Board of Supervisors:

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:

The Traverse Exchange is an advanced nationwide health information exchange network. This private network will enable participating MEDITECH customers to share health data seamlessly and securely with one another as well as with organizations using other vendor electronic health record solutions (EHRs) and exchange networks that comply with interoperability standards. This service complies with Federal and State privacy laws.

Traverse Exchange facilitates better coordination of care. This can lead to improved patient outcomes, a reduction in medical errors, and enhanced patient satisfaction. Traverse Exchange streamlines workflows for healthcare providers by allowing them to access relevant patient data with fewer obstacles.
