RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
a. Approve Amendment No. 6 to Agreement No. A-12497 with Disaster Kleenup Specialists for Goods and/or Services Involving Hazardous Materials to continue to provide preventative maintenance and on-call services at County-wide facilities and to increase the amount of $180,000 by $50,000 for a total amount not to exceed $230,000 with no extension to the Agreement's term of July 1, 2011 to June 30, 2017; and
b. Authorize the Contracts/Purchasing Officer or Contracts/Purchasing Supervisor to execute Amendment No. 6 to Agreement No. A-12497.

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
The Resource Management Agency (RMA) desires that Disaster Kleenup Specialist (DKS) continue to provide services associated with preventative maintenance and on-call services involving hazardous materials at County-wide facilities. Emergency building services are precipitated by unanticipated events, such as floods, fire, or concealed damage. Continued abatement services are required for proper treatment of mold, asbestos, and lead paint encountered in the course of repairs and maintenance to County facilities.

The original Agreement with DKS was entered into in FY2011-12 for $50,000, with an initial term from July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2013. The Board of Supervisors has approved five (5) amendments, which included contract increases of $130,000 for a total not to exceed contract limit of $180...
