RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
Approve and authorize the Assessor to enter into a Two Year Agreement on behalf of Monterey County for a Petroleum and Geothermal Property Sales Study between the California Assessor's Association and Harold W. Bertholf, Inc.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
Monterey County has successfully participated in this coordination and cooperation through a similar, if not identical, agreement for over ten years, and this Agreement is effectively the renewal of this profitable service
OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
County Counsel has reviewed the requested agreement as to form.
FINANCING:
Contract is reviewed on a two year basis and the annual cost to the Monterey County Assessor's Office for the year beginning November 1, 2012 through October 31, 2014 is $990.00 per year; there is no additional cost to the County General Fund, as the cost will be absorbed in the Assessor's Office approved Budget
