RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors receive a report and provide comment on the status of the County Resource Management Agency-Planning's, Long Range Planning Work Program including a status of the implementation of the Monterey County 2010 General Plan, and update to the Local Coastal Program and status of the budget related to the 2010 General Plan Implementation.

SUMMARY:
RMA-Planning created a Long Range Planning Team (LRPT) to coordinate implementation of: the 2010 General Plan, including the Fort Ord Master Plan (Fort Ord Reuse Plan); updates to the Local Coastal Program, including the Periodic Review; amendments to County Code related to land use, including changes in State laws; and processing Board and departmental referrals. A comprehensive Work Program was developed to track the progress of these tasks. The purpose of this status report is to provide the Board with an overview of progress made on the development of ordinances, plans, programs and tracking systems contained in the Long Range Planning Work Program, the current priorities and the status of the program budget.
