Title: a. Approve and authorize the County of Monterey, on behalf of the County Assessor, to sign a Shared Systems Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the California Assessors' Association, and the California Board of Equalization to participate in a Statewide Network Group for information technology services, systems support, and maintenance services to support assessment functions at amounts not to exceed $10,000 per year, or $20,000 for a retroactive 2-year term of July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2026. b. RECOMMENDATION:
a. Approve and authorize the County of Monterey, on behalf of the County Assessor, to sign a Shared Systems Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the California Assessors' Association, and the California Board of Equalization to participate in a Statewide Network Group for information technology services, systems support, and maintenance services to support assessment functions at amounts not to exceed $10,000 per year, or $20,000 for a retroactive 2-year term of July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2026.
b. Approve and authorize the Assessor or their designee to execute amendments that do not adversely affect the County liability and/or extend the term of the MOU beyond June 30, 2026.

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
In 2004, the Board authorized the Monterey County Assessor to enter into a Joint Powers Agreement (JPA-SDR) for the creation of Standard Data Records for the filing of annual Business Property Statements.

In 2013, the Board authorized the Monterey County Assessor to enter into a second Joint Powers Agreement (JPA-e-Forms) to create, collect, store, and maintain electronic forms and data with the County and the State Board of Equalization necessary to the assessment function.
