RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
Authorize the Contracts/Purchasing Officer to sign an agreement with White Nelson Diehl Evans, LLP in the amount of $10,000 to provide governmental tax consultation for the term July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2015.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
White Nelson Diehl Evans, LLP (WNDE) is a Certified Public Accountants and Consultants firm that provides specialized governmental tax consultation. The office of the Auditor-Controller has contracted with them on an as needed basis for governmental tax issues for the past six years. WNDE provided consultation on the County's Travel and Business Expense Reimbursement Policy and has provided additional guidance upon request. Unfortunately, WNDE was late in signing this year's agreement and began work on a project this fiscal year prior to submitting the agreement for County processing. The recommendation is to allow the Contracts/Purchasing Officer to sign an agreement for $10,000 for the term of July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2014.
FINANCING:
The $10,000 agreement cost is included in the Fiscal Year 2014-15 Adopted Budget.
