Title
a. Adopt a resolution authorizing the District Attorney (DA) or its designee to execute an Agreement between the County of Monterey and the Board of State and Community Corrections (BSCC) that will provide services to enhance Monterey County’s capacity to conduct coordinated enforcement and public safety operations that address illegal cannabis cultivation, manufacturing, distribution, and retail activity, while protecting community health, consumer safety, and the integrity of the licensed cannabis market, including extensions or amendments thereof, for a term retroactive to July 1, 2026 through December 31, 2031, for a total Agreement amount not to exceed $4,276,075.
b. Direct the County Administrative Office and the Auditor-Controller to amend the FY 2026-27 Adopted Budget, for the Office of the District Attorney, Fund 1001, Entity 224002: Criminal, increasing appropriations for personnel by $518,812 (1001-224002-60000) and for services and supplies by $403,626 (1001-224002-61000) and revenue by $922,438 (1001-224002-44285), funded by the grant revenues from the Board of State and Community Corrections (4/5ths vote required).
