Title
Approve the revised Unit H MOU term July 2013- June 2016.
Report
RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors approve the revised Unit H MOU term July 2013 - June 2016.

SUMMARY /DISCUSSION:

When finalizing the Unit H MOU, term July 2013 - June 2016, an administrative error occurred in Section 14.1 (C) County Elective Contributions. Language was erroneously added that stated if you are a permanent part-time employee in Unit H, you will receive half of the County Elective Contributions afforded to a permanent full-time employee. That language is incorrect as permanent part-time employees (scheduled to work a minimum of forty (40) hours, but less than sixty-four (64) hours ) of Unit H have and should continue to receive the same County Elective Contributions as permanent full-time employees. The revised Unit H MOU corrects this error and maintains the integrity of the intent of the language.

OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:

The County and SEIU Local 521 are in agreement that the administrative error should be corrected.
FINANCING:

There are no fiscal impacts for this administrative correction to the Unit H MOU.
