RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
Approve and authorize the Contracts / Purchasing Officer or his Designee to amend the contract between the County of Monterey and Everbridge, Inc. effective February 1, 2016, to increase the amount of the contract in the amount of $15,250.00 plus taxes as applicable, and to expand the Scope of Services to allow for the purchase of the Everbridge Community Engagement feature, as requested by the Director of Emergency Communications.

SUMMARY/ DISCUSSION:
The Office of Emergency Services and the Department of Emergency Communications, in order to increase subscription to County and local agency emergency and non-emergency notification systems, is requesting the addition of the Everbridge Community Engagement feature to the existing Scope of Services in the Agreement between the County of Monterey and Everbridge Inc. The proposed extension of scope of services would expand user participation and provide enhanced opt-in features, social media integration, and mobile applications to receive real-time alerts and safety information from agencies. This action will result in an expansion and addition to the current Everbridge Agreement, and not affect the existing services and scope of services performed pursuant to the terms of the Agreement.
