Adopt a Resolution to:
a. Amend the Monterey County Health Department's Behavioral Health Bureau FY 2021-22 Adopted Budget (4000-HEA012-8410) to add one (1.0) FTE Social Worker III position and to add one (1.0) FTE Senior Psychiatric Social Worker position; and
b. Authorize the Auditor-Controller, Human Resources Department, and the County Administrative Office to incorporate these position changes in the Monterey County Health Department's Behavioral Health Bureau FY 2021-22 Adopted Budget (4000-HEA012-8410).

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors Adopt a Resolution to:
a. Amend the Monterey County Health Department's Behavioral Health Bureau FY 2021-22 Adopted Budget (4000-HEA012-8410) to add one (1.0) FTE Social Worker III position and to add one (1.0) FTE Senior Psychiatric Social Worker position; and
b. Authorize the Auditor-Controller, Human Resources Department, and the County Administrative Office to incorporate these position changes in the Monterey County Health Department's Behavioral Health Bureau FY 2021-22 Adopted Budget (4000-HEA012-8410).
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
The Monterey County Health Department's Behavioral Health Bureau (BHB) entered into two separate Memorandum of Understandings (MOU) with the Monterey County Department of Social Services (DSS) which require the addition of one (1.0) Social Worker III (SWIII) and one (1.0) Senior Psychiatric Social Worker (Sr. PSW) to provide support services to members of our community.
Under the first MOU, the SWIII position will allow BHB to facilitate and manage the service delivery of the Community Family Case Management model aimed at supporting high-risk CalWORKs families in accessing barrier removal services and providing early intervention and prevention services to ensure the health and safety of children.
