Approve the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the Monterey County Park Rangers Association  for the period July 1, 2021 through December 31, 2024.

 

Report

RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:

Approve the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the Monterey County Park Rangers Association (MCPRA) Unit Q&V for the period July 1, 2021 through December 31, 2024.

 

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:

On February 16, 2022, MCPRA Unit Q&V ratified a Tentative Agreement (TA) with the County of Monterey. The TA was considered and approved by the Board of Supervisors on February 23, 2022 in closed session. The full MOU is presented for formal approval action today.

 

The MCPRA Unit Q&V MOU provides for changes to wages, benefits, vacation and leaves as presented.

 

OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:

MCPRA Unit Q&V members and County of Monterey staff contributed to the development of the MOU as presented.

 

FINANCING:

The Monterey County Public Works, Facilities and Parks will absorb the annualized cost of the MCPRA agreement in FY 2021-222. Amounts for remaining years of the MOU (FY 2022-2023 and FY 2023-2024) will be requested in each respective Recommended Budget.
