a. Approve and authorize the Contracts/Purchasing Officer or designee to sign an Agreement with the San Francisco Region of the Sports Car Club of America (SFR-SCCA) to provide race support services to WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca (WRLS) from June 1, 2020 through December 31, 2022, for an amount not to exceed $425,000; and
b. Authorize the Contracts/Purchasing Officer or designee to sign up to three (3) future amendments to this agreement where the total amendments do not exceed 10% ($42,500) of the agreement amount and do not significantly change the scope of work.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
a. Approve and authorize the Contracts/Purchasing Officer or designee to sign an Agreement with the San Francisco Region of the Sports Car Club of America (SFR-SCCA) to provide race support services to WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca (WRLS) from June 1, 2020 through December 31, 2022, for an amount not to exceed $425,000; and

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
This request supports the use of San Francisco Region of the Sports Car Club of America (SFR-SCCA) for race support services during race events at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca to include Monterey Pre-Reunion, Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion, IMSA Monterey SportsCar Championship and IndyCar Firestone Grand Prix of Monterey. SFR-SCCA shall provide flagging and communications to ensure safe, effective and timely course control during the race events. SFR-SCCA shall provide personnel for Flagging & Communications, Race Control & Dispatch, Race Grid, Pit Fire Prevention, Starters, Stewards, Timing & Scoring and Course Marshals.
