RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
Approve and authorize the Director of Health or Assistant Director of Health to execute a no-extension Amendment No. 4 to Alcohol and/or Drug Service Agreement A-12786 with
Sun Street Centers for the provision of alcohol and drug recovery services in the increased amount of $1,916,050 for FY 2017-18, for a revised total Agreement amount not to exceed $7,549,839 for the full-term July 1, 2015 - June 30, 2018.

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
Sun Street Centers provides residential and outpatient alcohol and drug recovery services for Non Medi-Cal, AB 109, and CalWORKS eligible Monterey County residents. This Amendment No. 4 will increase Drug Medi-Cal rates for FY 2017-18 and add Proposition 47 funded program services for FY 2017-18.

The Board of State and Community Corrections awarded a 39 month $6,000,000 grant to the Monterey County Health Department, Behavioral Health Bureau. The Grant will focus on services in South County and individuals in the criminal justice system in need of mental health, substance abuse treatment and supportive services needed to eliminate barriers to successful reintegration into society and reduce the recidivism rate of people convicted of less serious crimes.

Sun Street Centers will provide local substance use disorder services such as residential treatment, outpatient services and sober living environments in South County. In addition,
