a. Authorize the Deputy Purchasing Agent for Natividad Medical Center (NMC) or his designee to execute an agreement with PatientPoint Solutions, LLC for regulatory content to be used in a patient handbook at NMC, with an amount not to exceed $17,800 with an agreement term April 1, 2019 through March 31, 2021; and
b. Approve the NMC Chief Executive Officer's recommendation to accept non-standard language and provisions within the agreement.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended the Board of Supervisors:
a. Authorize the Deputy Purchasing Agent for Natividad Medical Center (NMC) or his designee to execute an agreement with PatientPoint Solutions, LLC for regulatory content to be used in a patient handbook at NMC, with an amount not to exceed $17,800 with an agreement term April 1, 2019 through March 31, 2021; and
b. Approve the NMC Chief Executive Officer's recommendation to accept non-standard language and provisions within the agreement.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
All patients that are admitted to Natividad receive a patient handbook. The patient handbook contains general hospital information as well as regulatory required information. Natividad desires to contract with PatientPoint Network Solutions, LLC to provide the regulatory required content. PatientPoint Network Solutions, LLC will provide Natividad a word document to include the following non-customizable content: using antibiotics safely, advanced directives, advanced care plans, ask me 3, and support for caregivers. PatientPoint Network Solutions, LLC is responsible for ensuring that the content is current and accurate. They will send updates to the hospital during the term of the agreement.
This agreement underwent extensive vetting by County approvers.
