Adopt a Resolution confirming that the Board has $16,992,638 set aside in the General Fund, Balance Sheet Assignment 3127 - New Juvenile Hall Project for the sole use towards the Monterey County SB81 project and to cover all County matching funds whether it be Cash, In-Kind Match, and additional matching Funds, where all of the funds in the General Fund Assignment 3127 are discretionary funds and allotted at the sole discretion of the Monterey County Board of Supervisors towards the New Juvenile Hall Project.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors adopt a Resolution confirming that the Board has $16,992,638 set aside in the General Fund, Balance Sheet Assignment 3127 - New Juvenile Hall Project for the sole use towards the Monterey County SB81 project and to cover all County matching funds whether it be Cash, In-Kind Match, and additional matching Funds, where all of the funds in the General Fund Assignment 3127 are discretionary funds and allotted at the sole discretion of the Monterey County Board of Supervisors towards the New Juvenile Hall Project.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
The recommended action satisfies a request from the State of California to provide a resolution confirming that the sole General Fund Assignment of the required County match of $16,992,638 for the New Juvenile Hall Project, Project 8811 (Project), has been set aside in a separate assignment for the sole use towards the Monterey County SB81 project County matching funds. Prior Board action on August 26, 2014 has resulted in the full transfer of $16,992,638 to the General Fund Assignment 3127 for the New Juvenile Hall Project.
On August 26, 2014, the Board of Supervisors authorized and approved the expenditure of $17,791,824 as matching funds for the conditional SB 81 2007 Youthful Offender Rehabilitative Facility Construction Funding Program award of $35,000,000 from the State of California for the Project.
