RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors receive an oral and written report by the Sheriff to the 2012 Monterey County Grand Jury Interim Final Report No. 4.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
The 2012 Monterey County Grand Jury Interim Final Report No. 4 was issued on December 11, 2012. By law, elected County officials are required to respond within 60 days directly to the Presiding Judge of the Superior Court, County of Monterey, to specific findings and recommendations as directed therein. The Sheriff's response was appropriately filed before the deadline. Additionally, the respondent was required to provide informational copies of the response to the Board of Supervisors. Formal receipt by the Board of this response is the sole purpose of this report.
OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
The County Administrative Office has reviewed this report.
FINANCING:
There are no fiscal impacts to the General Fund with this recommendation.
