a. Approve and authorize the Director of Health or Assistant Director of Health to sign a Standard Service Agreement with the Housing Resource Center of Monterey County (HRC) for the provision of permanent housing services for the three-year Proposition 47 Cohort-3 Grant services in the County of Monterey, in the amount of $1,378,890 for Fiscal Year's (FY) 2022-23 through 2023-26 retroactive to February 16, 2023; and
b. Approve and authorize the Director of Health or Assistant Director of Health to approve up to three (3) future amendments that do not exceed 10% ($137,889) of the original Agreement amount and do not significantly alter the scope of services.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
a. Approve and authorize the Director of Health or Assistant Director of Health to sign a Standard Service Agreement with the Housing Resource Center of Monterey County (HRC) for the provision of permanent housing services for the three-year Proposition 47 Cohort-3 Grant services in the County of Monterey, in the amount of $1,378,890 for Fiscal Year's (FY) 2022-23 through 2023-26 retroactive to February 16, 2023; and

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
The Board of State and Community Corrections (BSCC) awarded a continuing three-year $6,000,000 Proposition 47 Cohort-3 grant to the County of Monterey Health Department, Behavioral Health Bureau. The Grant will continue to focus on individuals in the criminal justice system in need of mental health, substance abuse treatment, and supportive services needed to eliminate barriers to successful reintegration into society and reduce the recidivism rate of people convicted of less serious crimes.
