RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
a. Accept the Annual Progress Report for the 2010 General Plan implementation (Attachment B) pursuant to Government Code Section 65400;
b. Accept the Annual Housing Progress Report for the 2009-2014 Housing Element Implementation (Exhibit 2 of Attachment B) to comply with State Department of Housing and Community Development requirements; and
c. Authorize the RMA-Director of Planning to submit the progress reports to the State Office of Planning and Research and State Department of Housing and Community Development.
SUMMARY:
Government Code Section 65400 (a)(2) requires local agencies to prepare and submit to the Board of Supervisors, State Office of Planning and Research (OPR), and the State Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) annual progress reports on the status and implementation of the General Plan and status of compliance with the current Housing Element.
