RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
Set the time and place for hearing of the Pebble Beach Company's Appeal of Tax Penalty for Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at 10:30 a.m., in the Monterey County Board of Supervisors Chamber located at 168 W. Alisal St., Salinas, CA 93901.
SUMMARY/ DISCUSSION:
Pursuant to Monterey County Code section 5.40.130, the Board of Supervisors received an appeal from the Pebble Beach Company from decision of the Monterey County Tax Collector denying their administrative appeal of the imposition of a Transient Occupancy Tax late payment penalty. Consistent with the Monterey County Code the Board of Supervisors shall fix a time and place for hearing such an appeal. The appellant requests a November hearing date. The Board hereby sets the place and time as the Board of Supervisors Chambers on November 6, 2012 at 10:30 AM.
OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
The Treasurer-Tax Collector and County Counsel concur in this recommendation.
FINANCING:
There are no financing issues related to the recommended action.
