RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
a.      Close a Public Hearing on Monterey County's Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program Income Reuse Plan with Jurisdictional Certifications; and
b.      Direct Staff to Re-Notice a New Public Hearing on the CDBG Program Income Reuse Plan at an Appropriate Time.
 
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
On March 19, 2013, the Board of Supervisors opened a Public Hearing concerning the County of Monterey's has revised CDBG Program Income Reuse Plan and associated Program Guidelines to comply with new regulations and requirements issued by the State Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) and continued the hearing until today's date.   Staff is continuing to resolve outstanding issues related to this item and is requesting the Board close the Public Hearing.  The item will return to the Board of Supervisors after all outstanding issues have been resolved and it is properly noticed.
 
OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
None.
 
FINANCING:
Closing the public hearing and having staff renotice it for a future date will have a small, probably less than $700, impact on the Economic Development Department's budget.
