RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
Approve the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the Monterey County Prosecutors’ Association (MCPA) Unit E for the period of September 1, 2019 through August 31, 2021.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
On October 18, 2019, MCPA Unit E ratified a Tentative Agreement (TA) with the County of Monterey. The TA was considered and approved by the Board of Supervisors on October 22, 2019 in closed session.
On February 24, 2021 Unit E signed and return the finalized MOU and the full MOU is presented for formal approval action today.
The MCPA Unit E MOU provides for changes to wages and benefits as presented.
OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
MCPA Unit E members and County of Monterey staff contributed to the development of the MOU as presented.
FINANCING:
The District Attorney’s Office absorbed the annualized cost of the MCPA agreement in FY 2019-20 and FY 2020-21budgets.
