RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
Receive a presentation on Managing For Results (MFR) from the Economic Development Department.
SUMMARY:
The three primary divisions of the Economic Development Department are:
1. Economic Development
2. Housing Division
3. Workforce Investment Board (WIB)
DISCUSSION:

4. Workforce Investment Board (WIB)
The critical success measures reflected in the three program areas consist of:
1) Jobs and Revenue,
2) Number of housing units completed and available,
3) Number of Adult, Dislocated Workers and Youth, who are enrolled, trained and receive job
placement, and
4) Business Services, Rapid Response and Lay-off Aversion.
OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
The County Administrative Office, Intergovernmental & Legislative Affairs Division has oversight of the Countywide MFR Program.
FINANCING:
Monterey County's MFR Program is funded in the County Administrative Office - Department 1050, Intergovernmental & Legislative Affairs Division - Unit 8054.
