Authorize the Chief Executive Officer for Natividad or his designee to execute amendment No. 2 to the agreement (A-14572) with Champion Medical Technologies, Inc. for electronic tissue management software services, extending the agreement an additional three (3) year period (March 1, 2023 through February 28, 2026) for a revised full agreement term of December 10, 2019 through February 28, 2026, and adding $60,027 for a revised total agreement amount not to exceed $157,965.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended the Board of Supervisors:
Authorize the Chief Executive Officer for Natividad or his designee to execute amendment No. 2 to the agreement (A-14572) with Champion Medical Technologies, Inc. for electronic tissue management software services, extending the agreement an additional three (3) year period (March 1, 2023 through February 28, 2026) for a revised full agreement term of December 10, 2019 through February 28, 2026, and adding $60,027 for a revised total agreement amount not to exceed $157,965.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
Champion's tissue management software will assist Natividad in meeting The Joint Commission's regulatory requirements on tissue management. This software will help improve patient safety related to implanted tissue management procedures in Natividad's operating room. This software will help track tissues from the point of entry into Natividad until it is implanted into a patient. This software will also help Natividad track reactions patients may experience after having received the transplanted tissue.
OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
The Office of County Counsel has reviewed and approved this amendment No. 2 as to form, and the Auditor-Controller has reviewed and approved as to payment provisions. The amendment No. 2 has also been reviewed and approved by Natividad's Finance Committee and by its Board of Trustees on January 13, 2023.
