Title: a. Approve and Authorize the Contracts/Purchasing Officer or Contracts/Purchasing Supervisor to sign a three (3) year agreement between the Sheriff's Office and Quinn Company dba Quinn Power Systems in the amount of $60,000, to provide preventative maintenance services, load bank testing and emergency repair services from August 25, 2021 to June 30, 2024; and b. RECOMMENDATION:
a. Approve and Authorize the Contracts/Purchasing Officer or Contracts/Purchasing Supervisor to sign a three (3) year agreement between the Sheriff's Office and Quinn Company dba Quinn Power Systems in the amount of $60,000.00, to provide preventative maintenance services, load bank testing and emergency repair services from August 25, 2021 to June 30, 2024; and

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
The Monterey County Sheriff/Coroner's Office (MCSO) request approval of this agreement.

The MCSO has four generators, each if which is equipped with an automatic transfer switch, which supply power in case of a power failure, State of Emergency shut down, rolling blackouts, etc. Since the MCSO is a 24-hour facility like the Natividad Hospital and 911, generators require regular periodic maintenance and testing by a certified technician to ensure performance reliability in case the...
