Title: a. RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:

a. Approve and authorize the Contracts/Purchasing Officer to sign the Service Agreement with Transitions for Recovery and Re-entry Program, Incorporated to provide life-skills workshops, and employment and job placement services for AB 109 Public Safety Realignment eligible clients in an amount not to exceed $133,500 for the period July 1, 2013 to June 30, 2014; and

SUMMARY:
The AB109 Public Safety Realignment allocates funding to counties for mandates related to adult offenders that have been realigned from the State to local jurisdictions. The Probation Department serves as lead agency and fiscal agent for the implementation of the AB109 Public Safety Realignment plan. Funding is allocated for custody supervision and treatment services. Transitions for Recovery and Re-entry Program, Incorporated (Transition for Recovery) will provide a structured Cognitive Behavioral 30-day program.
