RECOMMENDATION:
Approve and authorize the Contracts/Purchasing Officer or Contracts/Purchasing Supervisor to ratify and approve an Agreement with Whitson & Associates, Inc., dba Whitson Engineers, for the purpose of performing specialized track design services for WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. County shall pay Whitson Engineers an amount not to exceed $116,000.00.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
The County wishes to enter into a one-year agreement with Whitson Engineers to perform specialized track design services for WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. Whitson Engineers shall provide preliminary design, supplemental topographic survey, construction documents, bidding and construction support, construction staking and record (as-built) drawings for the track resurfacing project to take place in Fall 2020.
OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
The County Administrative Office prepared this report which was reviewed and by County Counsel and Auditor/Controller.
FINANCING:
Funds for these services are contained within the approved budget allocations of the department utilizing the services. Expenditures will depend on the actual services requested by the County.
BOARD OF SUPERVISORS STRATEGIC INITIATIVES:
These actions will help ensure the timely provision of necessary services to all County Departments.
