RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
Approve the Side Letter Agreement between the County of Monterey and SEIU Local 521, Unit F regarding Shift Differential.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
In the SEIU Local 521-Unit F Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) approved by the Board of Supervisors on December 6, 2011, there was a technical error when a portion of the Shift Differential language was inadvertently removed and the dollar amount changed. As a result, SEIU Local 521 and the County of Monterey met and agreed to a corrective Side Letter where the language is put back in the MOU and the dollar amount corrected. It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors approve the Side Letter Agreement between the County of Monterey and SEIU Local 521.
OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
SEIU Local 521 staff concurs with this action.
FINANCING:
The implementation of this Side Letter Agreement regarding Shift Differential will be cost neutral.
