County of Monterey, State of California
Resolution No. 10-076
A Resolution honoring the Alisal High School Boys Soccer Team
As the 2010 Central Coast State Division I Champions in their
upon victoriously competing at the highest level of competition regionally
WHEREAS, On Saturday, March 6, 2010 the Alisal High School Boys Soccer Team beat a powerful
Watsonville High team 1-0 to win the Central Coast Section Division I championship; and,
WHEREAS, this is the first CCS Championship for soccer in the history of Alisal High School
and the third CCS Championship for the school in any sport; and,
WHEREAS, the Alisal High School Boys Soccer Team finished the season with a 18-1-4 record and
completed their fifth league championship in the past six years; and,
WHEREAS, after loosing the season opener the Alisal High School Boys Soccer Team went 22
straight games without a loss; and,
WHEREAS, The Alisal High School Boys Soccer Team was lead by Head Coach Mike Cisneros,
Assistant Coaches: Juan Cisneros and Gaspar Marques, and Statistician Michelle Frankel.
Members of the championship team are: Armando Serrano, Christian Cruz, Jesus Velasquez,
Augustin Martinez, Joni Cruz, Gerardo Vera, Edgar Prieto, Carlos Ortiz, Irineo Aguilar, Eduardo
Hernandez, Andoni Trejo, Manuel Negrete, Santos Ortiz, Ivan Manzano, Jesus Guzman, Enrique
Montano, Arturo Mendoza, Oscar Guijosa, Maximiliano Estrada, Benjamin Nunez, Jordy
Urrutia; and,
WHEREAS, off the field the Alisal High School Boys Soccer Team compiled a 3.4 GPA with seven
players qualifying for scholar athlete awards. These are all great accomplishments for Alisal
High School and for the community of Alisal.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Monterey County Board of Supervisors takes
great pride in congratulating the Alisal High School Boys Soccer Team on being the 2010 Central
Coast State Division I Champions and for being vict...
