Resolution of Proclamation Honoring Jeannette Marie Pendergrass
upon her selection as one of six Outstanding Women of
Monterey County for 2010
Whereas, Jeannette Marie Pendergrass has been selected by the Monterey County Commission on
the Status of Women as one of six Outstanding Women in Monterey County for 2010; and
Whereas, Jeannette Marie Pendergrass the wife of Sand City Mayor David Pendergrass has
been a resident of Monterey County for the past 52 years; and
Whereas, Jeannette Marie Pendergrass's volunteering has been a life-long calling, as demonstrated
by sending at over 400 cards of encouragement, get well, and spiritual guidance to numerous community
members; and
Whereas, Jeannette Pendergrass has prepared and served Christmas Holiday dinners for 300-
500 needy families at the Seaside Assembly of God where she has also been a volunteer Sunday
school teacher and has worked with the Girls Mission Youth groups for 48 years; and
Whereas, Jeannette Marie Pendergrass has volunteered with the Monterey County Food Bank
since 1987 is certainly an Outstanding Woman of Monterey County.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Monterey County Board of Supervisors and all
citizens therefore hereby congratulate Jeannette Marie Pendergrass on her selection as one of six
Outstanding Women in Monterey County for 2010 and wishes her health, happiness, and success in all
her future endeavors.
PASSED AND ADOPTED on this 13'h day of April, upon motion of Supervisor Calcagno, seconded by
Supervisor Potter, by the following vote, to-wit:
