a. Authorize the Deputy Purchasing Agent for Natividad Medical Center (NMC) to execute an Agreement with Vendormate Credential Manager Services for hospital vendor management services at NMC at no cost for the term July 28, 2015 through July 27, 2018.
b. Authorize the Deputy Purchasing Agent for NMC to execute up to three (3) future amendments to the Agreement to extend the term of the Agreement for up to three additional years provided there is no significant change to the scope of services

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended the Board of Supervisors:
a. Authorize the Deputy Purchasing Agent for Natividad Medical Center (NMC) to execute an Agreement with Vendormate Credential Manager Services for hospital vendor management services at NMC at no cost for the term July 28, 2015 through July 27, 2018.
b. Authorize the Deputy Purchasing Agent for NMC to execute up to three (3) future amendments to the Agreement to extend the term of the Agreement for up to three additional years provided there is no significant change to the scope of services
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
Vendormate will provide Natividad Medical Center (NMC) with an electronic solution to manage its vendor activity throughout the facility on a daily basis. Vendors (sales or other representatives of the medical center's vendors) visiting the NMC will be required to register online through the Vendormate web based software system, providing their contact information and legal name. A vendor visitor pass is then issued to the sales representative allowing them access to the specific NMC Department to attend to their business. The Vendormate solution provides efficiencies in the management of vendor access to NMC ensuring productivity as well as patient and staff safety.
This service is at no cost to NMC, each vendor that registers with Vendormate is required to pay a fee to Vendormate for the service.
