a. Adopt a Resolution accepting a Housing Related Parks Program (HRPP) grant in the amount of $589,600;
b. Authorize the Auditor-Controller to amend the Fiscal Year 2015-16 Economic Development Department's adopted budget for Community Development, Fund 013, and Appropriation Unit DEO003, Unit 8200 to increase estimated revenues and appropriations by $589,600 (4/5ths vote required); and
c. Authorize the Director of Economic Development to sign a $315,264 Subrecipient Agreement with the Aromas Community Foundation to utilize a portion of the HRPP funding to complete parking lot improvements at the A.R. Wilson Community Park in Aromas.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
a. Adopt a resolution accepting a Housing Related Parks Program (HRPP) grant in the amount of $589,600;
b. Authorize the Auditor-Controller to amend the Fiscal Year 2015-16 Economic Development Department's adopted budget for Community Development, Fund 013, and Appropriation Unit DEO003, Unit 8200 to increase estimated revenues and appropriations by $589,600 (4/5ths vote required); and,

SUMMARY:
In response to an application for an HRPP grant in the amount of $584,150, the County of Monterey was awarded a $589,600 grant and, per Board authorization, executed a Standard State Agreement with the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) in the amount of $589,600 to implement the HRRP grant. The Board is asked to adopt a subsequent resolution, as required by HCD, to reflect the amount of the grant actually awarded. It is also asked to approve a subrecipient agreement to use HRPP grant funds to improve the A.R. Wilson Community Park in Aromas.
