RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
Authorize the Director of Health or Assistant Director of Health, to execute Amendment No. 2 to Mental Health Services Agreement A-12521 with Edgewood Center for Children and Families, to increase the Fiscal Year (FY) 2015-16 amount from $1,115,355 to $1,278,291 (an increase of $162,936), for a revised total Agreement amount not to exceed $3,063,234.

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
Edgewood Center for Children and Families provides services to those who require the highest level of residential care. Services include outpatient services, Group Home RCL 14 Board and Care, and Hospital Diversion Program. Amendment No. 2 will add Family Therapy services as required by the treatment plan for a client placed at the facility, and increase FY 15-16 rates of service for outpatient services, Group Home RCL 14 Board and Care, and the Hospital Diversion Program. The term of the Agreement will remain the same: July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2016.

This work supports the Monterey County Health Department 2011-2015 strategic plan initiative: 3) Ensure access to culturally and linguistically appropriate, customer-friendly, quality health services. It also supports one of the ten essential public health services, specifically: 7) Link people to needed personal health services and assure the provisions of health care when otherwise unavailable.

OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
