RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors receive an oral report from Assemblymember Mark Stone, Monterey County’s representative for the 29th Assembly District.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION
Assemblymember Mark Stone has served as a member of the California State Assembly since December 2012. He represents the 29th Assembly District which includes portions of Santa Cruz, Santa Clara and Monterey Counties.
Currently Assemblymember Stone serves as:
Chair, Assembly Judiciary Committee;
Chair, Select Committee on Coastal Protection;
Chair, Select Committee on Expanding Access to California’s Natural Resources; and
Co-Chair, Environmental Caucus.
Assemblymember Stone has been a strong supporter and advocate for issues facing Monterey County. In his oral report to the Board of Supervisors he will provide comments on the current State Legislative Session, following which he will be available to entertain questions from the Board of Supervisors.
