RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Capital Improvement Committee (CIC) receive a Quarterly Status Report on the East/West Wing Renovation, Project 8862 (Project), for the period ending December 31, 2015.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
Budget and Schedule: The Project is on budget and schedule. In September 2015, Certificates of Participation (COP) became available to fund the Project.
Design: Schematic Design was completed in November 2015 and the Design Development Phase was started. A Selective Demolition Package was prepared and permitted. A Window & Door Replacement Package has been prepared and is being costed.
Construction: A Job Order Contract was prepared and negotiated with Pueblo Construction for doing selective demolition. Construction fencing was erected and utilities to the site were disconnected and capped.
OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
Resource Management Agency-Public Works continues to work closely with the County Administrative Office and the District Attorney’s Office on the development of the Project.
FINANCING:
The Project is currently expected to be on schedule and budget. The Project is financed through a combination of COP proceeds and County funds.
