RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
Receive an oral presentation from Monterey County Department of Social Services on key performance measures.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION
This oral presentation will review 22 Department of Social Services performance areas covering processing time, enrollment rates, statewide performance, timeliness of assessments, and child safety. Highlighted program areas include:
• Medi-Cal
• CalFresh
• CalWORKs
• CalWORKs Family Stabilization and Housing Support Programs
• Family and Children’s Services
• Adult Protective Services
• In Home Supportive Services
Performance areas were selected to highlight major program responsibilities and community impact.
OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
Quality control efforts and system improvement planning are done in partnership with State and Federal oversight agencies. Military Veterans Affairs Office performance measures are presented separately.
