a. Approve and authorize the Director of Health or Assistant Director of Health to sign a one year Mental Health Services Agreement with The Village Project, Inc. for outreach and mental health services to Monterey County residents in the amount not to exceed $385,312 for the term of July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017; and
b. Approve and authorize the Director of Health or Assistant Director of Health to approve up to three (3) future one year amendments that do not exceed ten percent (10%) ($38,531) of the original Agreement amount and do not significantly alter the scope of services.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
a. Approve and authorize the Director of Health or Assistance Director of Health to sign a one year Mental Health Services Agreement with The Village Project, Inc. for outreach and mental health services to Monterey County residents in the amount not to exceed $385,312 for the term of July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017; and

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
The County currently has Agreement A-12729 with The Village Project, Inc. that will expire on June 30, 2016. Since Fiscal Year 2008-09, the Monterey County Health Department, Behavioral Health Bureau, has contracted with The Village Project, Inc. (TVP) for the provision of mental health outreach and counseling services for Monterey County African-Americans and other unserved/underserved racial and ethnic group members and their families.
