a. Approve and authorize the Director of the Department of Social Services to sign Amendment #3 to Agreement #A-12810 with Housing Resource Center of Monterey County, adding $500,000, effective July 1, 2016, to continue the Family Stabilization Program and Housing Support Program for CalWORKs recipients, increasing the total contract amount to $2,087,019, and extending the term of the agreement through December 31, 2016; and
b. Authorize the Director of the Department of Social Services to sign up to three (3) amendments to this agreement, where the total amendments do not exceed 10% ($7,481) of the original contract amount, and do not significantly change the scope of work.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
a. Approve and authorize the Director of the Department of Social Services to sign Amendment #3 to Agreement #A-12810 with Housing Resource Center of Monterey County, adding $500,000, effective July 1, 2016, to continue the Family Stabilization Program and Housing Support Program for CalWORKs recipients, increasing the total contract amount to $2,087,019, and extending the term of the agreement through December 31, 2016; and
b. Authorize the Director of the Department of Social Services to sign up to three (3) amendments to this agreement, where the total amendments do not exceed 10% ($7,481) of the original contract amount, and do not significantly change the scope of work.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
The purpose of this amendment is to add $500,000, effective July 1, 2016, to continue the provision of services through the CalWORKs Family Stabilization Program and CalWORKs Housing Support Program for housing assistance to eligible CalWORKs customers, increasing the total contract amount to $2,087,019, and extending the agreement through December 31, 2016.
