RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
a. Approve and authorize the Contracts Purchasing Officer, or Contracts Purchasing Supervisor, to sign a County of Monterey Standard Agreement with DELTAWRX, LLC for project management and related services for the Monterey County Next Generation Radio System Project (NGEN), in an amount not to exceed $120,000.00 for the period of July 15, 2016 through January 14, 2017.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
In December, 2010, the Board of Supervisors approved the contract with DELTAWRX, LLC to provide Project Management and associated services for the design and implementation of the Monterey County Next Generation (NGEN) Public Safety Radio System. Since that Agreement, DELTAWRX has proven to be a valuable partner in the development of functional requirements, telecommunication radio site development, radio frequency acquisition, and coordination between the prime NGEN contractor, Harris Corporation, and multiple departments within the County of Monterey.
While the NGEN project was set for completion in September 2016, frequency acquisition and construction delays have required an extension of the date when the NGEN system will become fully operational to December 2016. This contract will allow DELTAWRX to continue with project management activities and responsibilities through the estimated NGEN system completion date and debrief period.
OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
The agreement has been reviewed by County Counsel as to legal form.
FINANCING:
The costs in the Agreement with DELTAWRX are included as part of the FY 16/17...
