Title

Receive a Quarterly Budget and Schedule Status Report on Schilling Place Tenant Improvement, Project 8862 (Project), for period ending June 30, 2016.

Report

RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that the Capital Improvement Committee receive a Quarterly Budget and Schedule Status Report on Schilling Place Tenant Improvement,  Project 8862 (Project), for period ending June 30, 2016.

 

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:

Key schedule components and budget status are summarized below.

 

Budget and Schedule:  The overall Project is on budget and schedule.

 

Design:  Design is complete. 

 

Public Bid Phase:  Board of Supervisors awarded a construction contract to Ausonio Incorporated on June 7, 2016.

 

Milestones:  The next milestone will be the start of construction July 25, 2016.

 

Existing Workstation Breakdowns:  A Job Order Contract (JOC) is complete. 

 

Re-Roofing:   A JOC for re-roofing the North and South Buildings is complete.

 

Move Coordination:  All tenants transferring to Schilling received a Move Manual outlining protocols and specific tasks to be accomplished between now and their scheduled move in date. 

 

CEQA :  Project is Categorically Exempt.

 

OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:

RMA-Public Works coordinated with the County Administrative Office and all selected agency tenants who will reside at Schilling Place to develop the Project Plans and Specifications. 

 

FINANCING:

The project is financed by County funds in the amount of $1,563,305 and Certificates of Participation (COPs) in the amount of $16 million issued for the specific purpose of completing the Schilling Place renovation project.  Total expenditures through the end of this quarter are $2,579,612.  Funding for this project is contained in Fund 404 - Facilities Master Plan Projects.
