a. Approve and authorize the Contracts/Purchasing Officer, or his Designee, to execute a non-standard Web Based User and Dispatcher Training Agreement with Harris Corporation for the term of September 1, 2016 through August 31, 2017, in an amount not to exceed $10,125.00; and
b. Approve the non-standard provisions of Harris Corporation's Agreement, as recommended by the Director of the Emergency Communications Department.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
a. Approve and authorize the Contracts/Purchasing Officer, or his Designee, to execute a non-standard Web Based User and Dispatcher Training Agreement with Harris Corporation for the term of September 1, 2016 through August 31, 2017, in an amount not to exceed $10,125.00.
b. Approve the non-standard provisions of Harris Corporation's Agreement, as recommended by the Director of Emergency Communications Department.
SUMMARY/ DISCUSSION:
Harris Corporation is currently working with the County on implementation of the Next Generation Radio Project (NGEN), which will replace the existing public safety and local government voice and data radio networks, as required by Federal Communications Commission (FCC) mandate.
As the implementation of the project comes to completion, the need for supplemental and reinforcing training of users and County dispatch staff has been identified. The Web Based User and Dispatcher Training web licenses provided by Harris Corporation will provide the County with a one-year site license, allowing unlimited access to Harris' web-based training program. The training made available to County dispatch staff and users will consist of all standard radio and console operation courses applicable to the County's NGEN P25 radio system.
