RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Fort Ord Committee receive a progress report on the status of the Successor Agency to the Redevelopment Agency of the County of Monterey's disposition of former Fort Ord properties in accordance with the approved Long Range Property Management Plan.

SUMMARY:
In accordance with the State Department of Finance (DOF) approved Long Range Property Management Plan (LRPMP), staff has completed a schedule and is in the process of implementing the disposition of fifteen properties currently under Successor Agency ownership. To date 7 of the 12 former Fort Ord properties have been disposed of according to the LRPMP:
* August 23, 2016 - Four Landfill Border Parcels (E8a.1.3, E8a.1.4, E8a.1.5, E8a.1.1.2) totaling 140 acres.
* May 17, 2016 - East Garrison II Parcels (L23.3.3.1, L23.3.3.2, L23.3.2.2) totaling 152 acres.

DISCUSSION:
On February 29, 2016 the Fort Ord Committee received a report on the status of the Successor Agency's LRPMP. This report stated that on December 31, 2015 the DOF had approved the disposition of the properties listed in the LRPMP in accordance with the Successor Agency's recommendations. At that time the Committee requested quarterly progress reports on the property disposition process relating to properties on the former Fort Ord.

On August 23, 2016 the Board of Supervisors, acting as the Board of Directors of the Successor Agency, approved a deed of transfer for four Landfill Boarder Parcels (E8a.1.3, E8a.1.4, E8a.1.5, E8a.1.1.2) totalling 140 acres. The Board of Supervisors accepted the transfer on behalf of the County, and the deeds were recorded on August 23, 2016.
