RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors approve revised assignments of Board of Supervisors members and staff to the Transportation Agency for Monterey County (TAMC), Monterey Peninsula Regional Water Authority (WPRWA), Monterey Peninsula Water Supply Project Governance Committee, and the Emergency Communication Policy Advisory Council (ECPAC) for calendar year 2017.
SUMMARY:
Members of the Board of Supervisors are assigned to serve on various standing or ad hoc committees of the Board as well as various agencies, joint power authorities and miscellaneous committees. In addition, in several instances, staff are also appointed to serve as alternates or representatives to various agency committees or other groups. The appointments are typically approved at the first meeting of the calendar year and are valid for the remainder of the calendar year unless modified by action of the Board. For calendar year 2017, the Board approved these assignments at their January 10, 2017 meeting.
This report proposes the following changes to those assignments:
1. Transportation Agency for Monterey County (TAMC) - change alternate for Supervisor Adams to Yuri Anderson;
2. Monterey Peninsula Regional Water Authority (WPRWA) - appoint Supervisor Adams
3. Monterey Peninsula Water Supply Project Governance Committee - appoint Supervisor Adams
4. Emergency Communication Policy Advisory Council (ECPAC) - appoint Supervisor Alejo and Supervisor Salinas
OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
The matter has been coordinated with the office of the Chair of the Board, Supervisor Mary Adams.
