RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
Approve and authorize the Director of Health or Assistant Director of Health to execute a no-extension Amendment No. 3 to Alcohol and/or Drug Service Agreement A-12786 with
Sun Street Centers for the provision of alcohol and drug recovery services in the increased amount of $249,974 for Fiscal Year (FY) 2016-17, and $249,974 for FY 2017-18, for a revised total Agreement amount not to exceed $5,633,789 for the term July 1, 2015 - June 30, 2018.

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
Sun Street Centers provides residential and outpatient alcohol and drug recovery services for Non Medi-Cal, AB 109, and CalWORKS eligible Monterey County residents. This Amendment No. 3 will increase bed days for residential treatment services for FYs 2016-18 and revise units of service for Alcohol and Other Drug Prevention programs in Salinas, South County and Peninsula regions of Monterey County for FYs 2016-18.

This Agreement contains the County's standard 30-day termination provision (Section 5) and a defunding provision (Section 6), which provides the County the ability to amend or terminate the Agreement in the event of a reduction and/or termination of funding.
