Title

Report

RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors approve the Bingo License Application for American Legion Post 593 pursuant to Chapter 7.08 of the Monterey County Code effective March 28, 2017 through March 27, 2018.

 

SUMMARY:

On March 14, 2017, the American Legion Post 593 submitted a Bingo License application to the Clerk of the Board with the requisite $50.00 application fee. The Clerk of the Board transmitted a copy of the application to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office on March 14, 2017 for a ten-day review, pursuant to Chapter 7.08 of the Monterey County Code.

 

Pursuant to Chapter 7.08 of the Monterey County Code, the Board of Supervisors is the responsible body for the issuance of Bingo Licenses. Upon approval by the Board of Supervisors, the Clerk of the Board will issue the applicant the Bingo License effective March 28, 2017 through March 27, 2018, a draft of which is attached to this board report.

 

The Sheriff’s office has reviewed and provided a written response to the Clerk of the Board with no objections to the issuance of the bingo license. Receiving no objection from the Sheriff’s Office, the Clerk of the Board has prepared and assembled this board report for approval with the aforementioned materials.

 

OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:

The Sheriff’s office has reviewed the application and has no objection to the issuance of the bingo license.

 

FINANCING:

Approval of this recommendation will have no financial impact.
