RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
Approve and authorize the Director of Health or Assistant Director of Health to execute a no extension Amendment No. 2 to Mental Health Services Agreement A-12725 with Milhous Children's Services to increase the Fiscal Year 2016-17 amount from $754,156 to $943,687 (an increase of $189,531) for a revised total Agreement amount not to exceed $2,469,497 for term July 1, 2014 through June 30, 2017.

SUMMARY:
Milhous Children's Services, Inc. provides mental health services to Monterey County young adults in accordance with the client's individual education plan and other identified needs. Milhous Children's Services, Inc. provide an array of mental health services and rehabilitative care to Monterey County children. Children placed in Milhous suffer from seriously emotional and behavioral issues, which interfere with their ability to effectively function with in their home and in the community. The services provided at Milhous are designed to prevent placement in more restrictive and costlier settings such as inpatient hospitals and out of state residential juvenile justice facilities.

DISCUSSION:
This Amendment No. 2 will add mental health services and Group Home Rate Classification Level (RCL) 14 Board and Care for one additional client placement, for a total of five placements effective April 1, 2017.
