RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Planning Commission:
a. Continue the public hearing to obtain public input on preliminary draft regulations of short-term rentals for overnight accommodations in residential areas in the unincorporated area of Monterey County except the Big Sur Coast Land Use Planning Area; and
b. Provide direction to staff.
SUMMARY
On May 31, 2017, the Planning Commission held a hearing on the preliminary draft regulations and continued the hearing to June 28, 2017 to enable topic-by-topic discussion of the preliminary draft regulations. For background, the May 31, 2017 Planning Commission Staff Report is included as Exhibit A of this report.
