RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Capital Improvement Committee receive a Quarterly Budget and Schedule Status Report on Schilling Place Tenant Improvement, Project 8862 (Project), for period ending June 30, 2017.

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
Key schedule components and budget status are summarized below.

Budget and Schedule: The overall Project was on budget and schedule.

Design: Design is complete.

Construction Contract Award: Contract award to Ausonio Incorporated is complete.

Milestones: Construction was substantially completed March 21, 2017. Tenant move-ins started in April and were completed by June 30, 2017.

Construction: Construction is complete. Going forward any changes to an existing tenant space that are above and beyond the warranty work are the financial responsibility of the asking tenant. All Pay Applications have been processed. The final Retention Pay Application is being held until all Close-Out Documents have been received.

Warranty: Warranty work continues as items are discovered. Items under warranty are covered until March of 2018.

CEQA : Project was Categorically Exempt.

OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
RMA-Public Works coordinated with the County Administrative Office and all selected agency tenants who reside at Schilling Place.

FINANCING:
The project is financed by Certificates of Participation (COPs) in the amount of $52,000,000 issued for the specific purpose of completing both the Schilling Place and East/West Wing renovation projects. Specifically, the Schilling Place Tenant Improvement Project is funded by a COP allocation of $16,000,000 and County funds in the amount of $1,497,566 for a total project cost of $17,497,566.
